MINDFUL LOVING. The title is perfect. Mindful choosing to love is the key. I especially appreciated the 35 Practical Tools that this book offers. Any and every relationship can be strengthened and deepened by applying even one tool. While the book is intended for couples, many of the lessons and tools can be applied to our relationships with parents, siblings, children, friends, everyone. We can all improve every relationship, including the one we have with ourselves, by using "I" messages, for example. Speaking of "example," there are many examples in this book that SHOW each principle and what mindful attention looks like, beyond TELLING what it is. I also found beauty in the way the natural changing seasons within a relationship are presented, showing similarities with the outer changing seasons in a year.

This is a well-organized and conceived work that is of great value to all couples interested in enhancing and protecting the quality of their relationships.
